1 Feb	BioHealth Inovation, Inc.Has announced a Nation's Capitol How To Win SBIR Awards^SM event to be held in Rockville, MD on 5 March. This one will feature a decided emphasis on NIH SBIR/STTR applications for the PHS 2012-2 Grants Solicitation (next closing date 5 April 2013). Affiliates of the sponsors enjoy substantial discounts.
24 Jan	The DoD has posted its 2013-A STTR Solicitation on the Web. This one will open to receive proposals on 25 February and will be due by 27 March at 6:00 AM. [We expect to have ToolKits for this one built and available by February 8.]
4 Jan	NOAA has posted a changed 2013 SBIR solicitation) for which proposals will now be due 27 Feb. 2012. [ ToolKits for this one are available.]
14 Dec	NIST has posted their 2013 SBIR solicitationon the Web . Proposals will be due 25 Feb. 2012.
26 Nov	DoE has posted DoE 2013 SBIR & STTR Release 2 on the Web. Letters of intent are due 17 Dec. and proposals will be due 5 Feb. 2013. [ToolKits for this are ready for shipment.]
4 Dec	Homeland Security has placed 2012-1 Pre-solicitation on the Web. DHS 2013-1 will open to proposal on 20 Dec and close at 2:00 PM EST on January 23, 2013. Questions may be submitted up to 9 Jan 2013.
3 Dec	DoD has posted its 2013-1 SBIR solicitation on the Web. It opens to proposals on 17 December and closes at 6:00 AM on 16 January 2013. This one has more changes in it that we've seen in recent years (you might want to consider getting a ToolKit).
26 Nov	DoE has posted DoE 2013 SBIR & STTR Release 2 on the Web. Letters of intent are due 17 Dec. and proposals will be due 5 Feb. 2013. [ToolKits for this are ready for shipment.]
16 Oct	NIH has announced the 2012 competition (???) for the Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP) , for SBIR/STTR Phase II awardees. Applications are due by 17 November 2012.

12 Oct	The SBIR Center will present a How To Win SBIR Awards^SM workshop on 7 November 2012in the Washington, DC area. This one will include extra, targeted information for NIH/HHS applicants. Significant discounts will be available through the sponsors Maryland TEDCO and the MD SBDC Network and BioHealth Innovation . Earlybird discount pricing will be in effect through 29 October 2012. 19 Sep	The NSF has posted the new SBIR 2013 Solicitationon the Web . Proposals can be submitted from 3 November to 3 December 2012 at 5:00 PM (applicants time).
17 Sep	The NASA posted their traditional SBIR/STTR 2012 Solicitation on the Web. However, this time there is a concurrent "SELECT" SBIR only solicitation also running with with slightly different rules (fewer topics, higher award levels, etc.). DO NOT GET THESE CONFUSED. Both versions close November 29, 2012 at 5:00 PM Eastern
15 Sep	The NIH/PHS 2013-1 Contracts Solicitation is on the Web. Paper copies of proposals must be at theri PHS destinations by November 13, 2012 at 5:00 PM E.T.
